Jeremy Chang

Dr. Jeremy Chang joined MPFI as a post-doc in the Fitzpatrick lab in April 2017.  He uses optical methods to investigate the development of functional neural response properties, like orientation selectivity, across cells types in visual cortex.

Prior to joining the Fitzpatrick lab, Dr. Chang earned his Ph.D. in Neuroscience with Dr. Michael Higley at Yale University. His dissertation research investigated the role of potassium channels in the regulation of dendritic GABAergic inhibition, using whole-cell patch-clamp electrophysiology and two-photon microscopy.
